Omie Holley

About

I'm Omie, an AI solutions architect and hands-on platform engineer in Houston, TX, with more than ten years of experience building enterprise platforms. Most recently, I led a multi-billion-dollar enterprise client's first production AI system from architecture through delivery: a call-analytics pipeline that executives use to understand why customers call.

My deepest expertise is on AWS across AI services, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. I also build federated React applications, distributed backend systems with Java, Spring, Node.js, and TypeScript, and scalable data models for SQL and NoSQL environments. In AI work, I focus on the requirements beyond a demo: reusable services, pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions, documented integration patterns, and security controls that make adoption repeatable.

My work includes greenfield platforms, cloud-native reference architectures, large-scale migrations, and real-time event-processing systems. I stay close to the implementation, from full-stack development and infrastructure as code to AI and data-pipeline integration. My core technologies are TypeScript and Node.js, Java and Spring, and Python.

Veradic

Veradic is a voice-AI front desk for independent freight brokers. I designed and built the functional prototype end to end, from product strategy and business model through the interface, voice workflows, and application architecture.

I used spec-driven AI development to translate the business logic and feature roadmap into implementation-ready specifications. In two weeks, I produced a viable React (TypeScript) prototype with over 50 screens and 14 modals, all from my own wireframe designs and specifications.

The Version 2

As founding engineer, I defined and built a greenfield multi-agent ad-tech platform with Remix, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Prisma, and the Google Display & Video 360 API.

My work included the campaign-editing data model, a reusable React component system, and the integration lifecycle for campaign creation and synchronization. I implemented the interface from pixel-perfect designs created by our UX team.

iCreate.Fashion

As system architect, I rebuilt a digital tech-pack product and its supporting platform. I owned product strategy, UX, and full-stack delivery.

I also designed the AWS CDK infrastructure and the PostgreSQL and MySQL data-model redesign needed to support multi-facility manufacturing operations.

Liquidware

As the sole frontend engineer, I built enterprise administration and analytics interfaces for device monitoring, anomaly detection, and operational drill-down. These chart-heavy interfaces were built with Angular, TypeScript, and AmCharts.

I built a reusable component library, design system, and chart-building engine so complex visualizations could be configured with minimal code changes. The work prioritized performance, accessibility, maintainability, and a consistent experience with the design team.

I also helped modernize a legacy Java and Apache Wicket monolith toward an Angular, Spring, Kafka, and OSGi-based service architecture.

It was extremely important to make the interface look seamless, as the work I did was integrated into the main platform via an iframe (bottom row of tabs and content area).

I've worked in founding roles and senior engineering roles, partnering closely with product, design, operations, and engineering teams. I hold a B.S. in Information Science & Technology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

I'm open to remote opportunities across industries and company sizes. I'm looking for teams that take innovation, security, and code quality seriously.
